13th Floor Investments, in partnership with Wexford Capital, purchased a portfolio of 22 prime vacant residential lots totaling 19.5 acres out of a court ordered bankruptcy auction at a 57% discount from market in March 2017. The lots sit within Windmill Reserve at Weston, a high-end gated community located at the Southwest corner of Weston, Florida. The investment strategy for this acquisition was simply to buy high end desirable real estate at a significant discount to market and to sell the lots at retail and return the investment's basis as quickly as possible.
