13th Floor Investments acquired a failed builder's rental portfolio, Caribbean Isles, in November 2008. The portfolio contained 71 villas, 14 townhomes, and 22 single-family rentals in Homestead, Florida. 13th Floor completed and sold a portion of the standing inventory at retail and sold the remaining homes in bulk to rental investors in December 2012.
